Founded in 1998 by Dr. Robert Maloney, the Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute is one of the earliest U.S. practices to specialize in laser vision correction. Dr. Maloney was the first surgeon in Western North America to perform LASIK during FDA clinical trials and trained more than 1,000 surgeons worldwide.

Today, the practice is led by Dr. Neda Shamie, a fellowship-trained surgeon nationally recognized for complex corneal and cataract cases, and Dr. Arjan Hura, one of a limited number of U.S. surgeons certified in advanced implantable lens technologies such as EVO ICL.
